Dreams do come true!

After missing out on the competition three years ago, Blacklist International’s Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna is excited to represent the Philippines in the upcoming 31st Southeast Asian Games in May.

Villaluna, along with 64 Filipino delegates (55 athletes), will be representing the Philippines in one of the most prestigious multi-esports tournament in the region. Under Sibol, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang representatives are hoping to earn a second gold medal, as they compete against Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and more.

At an online press conference on March 17, OhMyV33nus spoke to reporters on what it’s like to compete for Team Sibol.

“I’m so happy because we weren’t so lucky last 2019,” he said. “It has always been my dream to represent the Philippines on the international stage.”

The 27-year old MLBB superstar has his fair share of international tournament wins in the past, including Blacklist International’s victory at the M3 World Championship, the most prestigious Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament held in 2021.

Despite being the favorites to win this year, OhMyV33nus said they will not let their guards down.

“Other countries are now getting stronger, so we don’t have an idea right now on which country will be the Philippines’ toughest obstacle,” V33nus said.
